Good evening great residences of Calmar. As I take this evening to reflect back on the last 4 years in Calmar as you Mayor, I wanted to thank you all for the opportunity to learn about municipal politics and to be a part of the positive changes that we have been able to make in our commmunity.
Our town will continue to grow and we will have many challenges ahead of us.
I would be honoured if you would chose me as one of your councillors tomorrow to continue to work on the positive changes and the future of our great town.

We have many needs. Road rehab, sidewalks aging infrastructure and growing needs for services. We would like to see increased services and recreational opportunity. All of this requires strong plan and a slow approach so that we do not burden the taxpayers deeper than the current.

We need to navigate the future together and in a planned achievable process.

As my wife and I travelled to Manitoba for thanksgiving wr travelled through a number communities small and large. I thought to myself I am so proud of the great community I am fortunate enough to call home. Yes our community has struggles that are unique to our area such as historic oil and gas activity. We have however made great strides to better our community and draw development to our area.

I wanted to take a moment to wish all of our great residents and our extremely supportive business community a Happy Thanksgiving. We do have many things to be thankful for.
