Washing up duties just got a whole lot less boring with these colourful dishcloths!

Actually, they can be dishcloths in the kitchen or washcloths in the bathroom. Wherever you fancy them to be!

I have 8 of these hard working, 100% cotton dishcloths ready to go. Size is approx 11" x 12". Colours range from pale yellow, old gold, paprika (2) and red along with flax, light brown and medium brown. There is one royal blue left, the other 2 blues were snapped up the other day.

Just like the dishtowels I make, they are very easy to care for. Machine wash/dry, non-chlorine bleach for stains and no fabric softener.

Priced at $10.00 CDN each, they will last light years longer than any commercial product.

Measurements are 10" wide by 72" long (sans fringe) in an absolutely stunning 100% baby alpaca yarn that is incredibly soft and cuddly!

This piece will need some special care as to washing instructions. Soak in a mild detergent in tepid water, absolutely no agitation, rinse in same temp water, squeeze dry, roll in a towel to get excess water out and lay flat to dry. Alpaca will felt if manhandled too roughly ;) If you want to play it safe, have it dry cleaned 😊

This absolutely gorgeous Book Sleeve is complete!

Book sleeves are padded "envelopes" to protect your books or small tablet from being mauled in your purse/tote bag. The exterior fabric is a sturdy cotton canvas (with the most vibrant hummingbird stained glass pattern I have ever seen!) with a layer of batting in between the outer and lining fabric. A cute little button and tab keeps your book secure from sliding out.

The exterior has 2 pockets, a smaller one for pens and the other will fit cell phones or a small notepad.

Dishcloths/Washcloths under way! Yay!

After the epic fail of the last project I have moved on to a tried and true weaving draft lol

I will have 12 washcloths/dishcloths altogether and each will be a different colour. Will stick to neutrals and some blues so they will match to your kitchens/bathrooms.

*Note - 3rd photo is of the same ones that I wove last summer.

Anyone wanting some, message me with colour choices and quantity and I will reserve them for you.

This first one is a light brown (hard to capture in the dim, dreary, rainy light) and the draft is a highly textured Huck Lace so you get raised "bumpy" sections to help with scrubbing dishes.

100% cotton, machine wash/dry, no bleach, no fabric softener.

They will be ready in a couple weeks for mailing.

Well let's just say this did NOT turn out the way my minds eye saw it.

There are 2 layers of cloth (doubleweave) here and one later floats over the other. The floating layer is super loopy on the one side, so much so that wearing it will really be impractical as it just snag on everything.

Sooooooo....it will be banished to the sewing pile where I will use the reverse side for sewing together small makeup bags/coin purses, etc.

The wonderful world of weaving sometimes ends in flops...and this flopped like a big ol' fish out of a boat 🙄

On to the next project, which will be a batch of dishcloths due to popular demand 🥰

This handpainted scarf is close coming off the loom! I have about 12" to weave and then snip snip with the scissors ✂️! This has been a slow weave as I am using 3 shuttles and there are lots of colour change repeats but oh so gorgeous it will be when done! 🧣🩷

The pic on the left is the top side, the pic on the right is the backside of the scarf, so depending how you wear it, you have 2 different looks!

Effective today until Easter Monday (April 6th), I will be out of the country soaking up some much needed heat after this horridly cold snowy winter! 🍹🌞🌴
