TEC Canada
Increasing the effectiveness and enhancing the lives of chief executives and business leaders. We are both the path and the process for change.
We hold ourselves accountable for creating substantial outcomes that impact thousands of lives. We are in the service of the exceptional by leading with excellence. TEC’s proven process has helped over 25,000 executives and owners make better decisions. We offer a peer advisory board supported by one-to-one executive coaching, expert speakers, fast-paced learning and global networking. It all adds up to the most comprehensive executive and leadership development program in the industry.
Sometimes the most impactful thing you can do as a leader, a colleague, or a friend is simply show up.
In this TEC Cast, Susan Motkaluk joins Jamie Mason Cohen to explore the growing reality of loneliness and why genuine human connection matters more than ever. Whether it's making time for a conversation, checking in with someone, or creating spaces where people feel they belong, showing up has the power to change someone's day and sometimes, much more than that.
Because connection isn't built through grand gestures. It's built through consistency, presence, and choosing to be there. 🎙️

Strong leadership isn't about having all the answers...it's about asking better questions.
Thanks to Sean Flaherty for a thoughtful session with John Vincent's TEC Canada group in Montréal. Members explored practical ways to recognize the root causes behind common organizational challenges and left with tools they can bring back to their teams.

Turns out "revving up revenue" doesn't always require a bigger budget. 🚀
Karen Hayward's workshop challenged our members to rethink sales and marketing with practical, easy-to-implement ideas, many of them inexpensive (or even free). The best part? Everyone left with at least one action they can put into practice right away.
That's the difference between hearing great ideas and taking them back to your business.
Whether you're a CEO, business owner, or senior executive, leadership doesn't have to be a solo journey.
TEC Canada connects leaders through confidential peer advisory groups, executive coaching, world-class speakers, and a trusted community that helps you make better decisions with greater confidence.

Celebrating 15 years of leadership, learning, and community! 🎉
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the TEC MBA Elite Program at Université Laval.
To celebrate the milestone, more than 60 alumni gathered in Québec City on July 3, reconnecting with fellow participants from across the program's history. Attendees travelled from across Canada, the United States, and France, while alumni from England, Switzerland, Australia, and beyond joined in celebrating from afar.
Over the past 15 years, many graduates have continued their leadership journey by joining TEC Canada Leadership Teams and peer advisory groups, strengthening our community of leaders.
Congratulations to André Turcotte and everyone who has helped make the program such a lasting success. Here's to the next chapter!

Our recent Atlantic Regional Members' Meeting at Fox Harb'r Resort welcomed business leaders from across Atlantic Canada for two days of meaningful conversations and peer-to-peer learning that lasts long after the event ends.
Whether they've been part of TEC Canada for 20 years or are experiencing their first regional gathering, one thing remains true: the value of trusted peers only grows over time.
A special thank you to TEC Canada Chairs Joe Gillivan and Tanya Chapman for organizing another outstanding event, and to Erik Gingles for capturing these moments.
Leadership starts with how you show up.
In this TEC Cast, Jamie Mason Cohen sits down with Bruce Mayhew to explore why empathy, presence, and authenticity aren't just "soft skills", they're the foundation of trust, stronger relationships, and better leadership.
Watch this conversation for a reminder that the most impactful leaders don't try to have all the answers. They create the space for others to be seen, heard, and valued.
AI can write like you.
It can sound like you.
It might even look like you.
But can it build trust like you?
In the newest episode of The Leadership Standard Podcast, Jamie Cohen sits down with world-renowned communication expert Mark Bowden to unpack what leadership looks like when artificial intelligence is changing everything, and why being more human may become your greatest competitive advantage.
From body language and storytelling to AI avatars, authenticity, and influence, this conversation is packed with practical insights that every leader needs right now.

Leadership doesn't always happen around a boardroom table.
Last week, TEC Chair Robert Murray and his KEY Group (5304) took their Executive Session outdoors with a walking issue-processing session along Vancouver's Seawall before spending the afternoon volunteering at Ronald McDonald House.
Together, they prepared, served, and cleaned up 127 meals for families supporting children receiving care at BC Children's Hospital.
A great reminder that leadership is about more than business...it's about community, connection, and giving back 👏
