Lukes Cafe located in the New Central Library. An extension of Lukes Drug Mart which has been family run since '51.

Providing healthy dishes while sourcing locally and sustainably produced ingredients is integral to the cafe and our catering.

Our upstairs cafe on 1M inside the library has reopened. It is open Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 12 PM to 5 PM.

Join us for the 7th instalment of Eric Hendry’s (former executive chef of Model Milk and Bar Von Der Fels) Memoirs of a Gweilo dinner in our space here at the new Central Library. Featuring natural wines from Juice imports and Vino al Vino. We will be offering cocktails from our friend Jimmy Nguyen, formerly of the Deane house. Jimmy has worked behind the wood globally, including the Aviary in Chicago.

Dinner is a family-style, seated, multi-course journey into the melting pot of Malaysian cuisine. The cuisine is heavily influenced by Thailand, China, Indonesia & India. Expect exotic spices and a fragrant combinations of herbs. Tickets are $50/Person, not including tax or beverages.
