One of my objectives as a photographer this year is to print more of my work. It was wonderful to see the joy and surprise as this big metal print was unpacked when I delivered it to a new home this morning. Generally I work in B+W, but I have nothing against colour, and more are available.
About this photo ... The March 24, 2023 Aurora over Mount Rundle/Sulpher Mountain and reflected in Vermilion Lake, Banff.

Many, many thanks this morning to the Foothills Camera Club, in Calgary, for hosting my first in-person talk since March 2020. My Nature of Black & White talk celebrates the beauty of Planet Earth with a photographic exploration of wild, glaciated landscapes & seascapes in Iceland and Greenland, the majesty of the Canadian Rockies, and rare Spirit bears, grizzlies & whales in B.C.'s Great Bear Rainforest.

Many thanks to British Columbia's Victoria Camera Club for hosting my talk last night. In the Nature of Black & White we explored how melting glaciers formed the wild landscapes and seascapes of Iceland & Greenland, along with some of my favourite places in the Canadian Rockies and finished with bears and whales in the Great Bear Rainforest.
