Well… guess who’s back? Winter is.
Not complaining though. We definitely got spoiled for a few weeks there, and I’ll take that little teaser of spring while we can get it. It was good while it lasted.
The upside? If you’ve been dreaming of snowy, cozy, winter magic photos… this is your sign. Snow is back and ready. Let’s make the most of it. ❄️

Love is in the air.
Sessions like this feel effortless. When the connection is real, I don’t have to overthink anything. I give a bit of direction and then let them just be. The laughs just happen. The quiet in-between moments happen, too. I’m mostly just there to catch what’s already there. When two people are this into each other, you can feel it in every frame.
If you’ve been meaning to book something with your person, take this as your sign. It doesn’t have to be big or dramatic. It just has to feel like you.

This weather feels unreal right now. No complaints here, just quietly enjoying it because we all know Calgary likes to switch things up fast.
Throwing it back to a recent winter day when snow was still everywhere and we were bundling up for sessions. Even then, families showed up, kids ran around, and moments still happened. 😀

Aside from beautiful snowy photos, you also get lots of hugs during your winter session. No prompts needed, hugging is pretty much encouraged. It’s the easiest way to stay cozy and warm, and it makes the session feel genuine and real.

We always say we’ll do it later because life gets busy. And honestly… it never really slows down. Photos don’t have to be a big thing, just a small pause to capture what life looks like right now. Almost every time I deliver a gallery, I hear the same thing: “We’re so happy we did it now.”

This is what winter memories look like: laughter, chilly hands, and blowing snow just because 🫶❄️
These are the moments I love capturing.
Yes, it’s cold — no denying that. But honestly, Calgary winters are kind of beautiful.
I know it’s tempting to stay in, but even stepping outside for a short walk and taking in the winter scenery can be really nice.
That’s also why I shoot all year round, winter included. Every season has its own charm… and winter definitely has a way of showing off.
Winter wonderland? I’m in.
If you’re waiting for calmer days, better schedules, or everyone to cooperate…
I get it. Truly.
But those days don’t usually come — and somehow, the kids grow anyway.
You don’t need perfect. You just need now. I’d love to photograph your family exactly as you are in this season.
