CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
filling Station Issue 85 - Companionship
DEADLINE: July 4
This one is for our friends; for our partners, spouses, lovers; for our families (by both blood and choice); for our pets; and maybe even for our sworn enemies and people we made eye contact with on the bus. Amidst the ambient siren song of alienation which in many ways defines our current moment, we yearn for mutual care and support—for ragged harmonies. Write to us about the friends (both human and otherwise!) without whom you would have never known yourself, about hard-won co-constitution with the love of your life, about that hookup which forever altered the texture of the world. Write to us about the companions in your life, and about your role in theirs. From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot wait to read it.
Send your original, unpublished work through Submittable with the word COMPANIONSHIP in the title and cover letter by July 4th to be considered for inclusion in Issue 85. General submissions for FICTION and POETRY will close during this time.
General submissions for CREATIVE NON-FICTION and ART will remain open.
