ONLINE ZOOM group and individual classes available!!!
(Anyone students from elementary to high school can register)

How is everyone doing? Lots of students have been struggling a lot this year, due to switching in person and online back and forth!

I am offering summer classes for students this year.

Group classes:
Mainly focus on students going to grade 7, 8 and 9.
(I will focus on the important topics and teach the tricks that school don't do! Lots of students found the trick more easier to understand!)

Individual classes:
From elementary to high school! (We can start reviewing the previous year material first then learn ahead!)

Some parents may think you want the kids to have a great summer without doing any school work, lots of kids ended up spending a longer time during the school year to catch up on last year material + learning new stuff at the same time!

Only 1-2 hours each week for classes will definitely help them a lot!!!

Please comment below or pm me for more information!

Lots of students have told me online classes from school are not helpful at all! It is very difficult for them to understand. This is why I am here for you!!

Message me if you want to discuss the further details!

Stay safe everyone!

It's November already, how's everyone doing with school?

Tiffany's Math Tutoring will continue offer Zoom online classes this year until further notice

No matter you will be doing hub learning (online) or in school, I am here for you!

Math is always one of the challenging subjects for lots of kids here, especially for the kids who didn't do much for the past half year. Do you still remember multiplication table, or Long division? Maybe this is the time you may want the kids to start reviewing some school work!

Disposable masks vs cloth masks for school

Just my opinion and from my experience

I am pretty sure it is the first time for kids to wear mask to school, even the parents didn't experience that.

Since kids are in school for around 8 hours, they will get to eat their lunches in between. What I will recommend doing is, 1 mask in the morning and 1 in the afternoon! Throw away (disposable)/put away (cloth) the morning one before lunch. It is recommended not to reuse the mask after taking it off, especially kids talk a lot in school.

Kids may not understand the importance of wearing a mask, or may drop to the floor accidentally, it is important to tell them not to wear the mask after dropping. Always put a few more masks in a Ziploc bag so they can change it if anything happens. And prepare an empty one to put the dirty one back (cloth ones).

I know lots of parents would like to save money and environment to use cloth masks. Please make sure buy few more to change. Parents should clean the mask fully with soap and hot water. (This is why I don't use cloth one, cause I can't tell whether it's fully clean 😅😅) OR just put it in the washing machine!!!! Of course some people think it's not necessary to change mask after lunch, feel free to use the one from the morning, but make sure put the mask in the clean Ziploc bag before lunch!

For Ziploc bags, please use a marker to write 'clean' and 'dirty' so they don't mix up!!

For kids using disposable masks, after use, they can throw it away in the garbage bin!

We still have a month before going back to school, it is important for parent to teach the kids how to wear and throw away a mask properly!

PS I do not have a medical background, I just wanna share the experience I had from before. We had to wear mask in Asia during the SARS period and luckily I was a teenager at that day, we knew what to do and what not to do!

Feel free to share it to let more people know if you agree with me!

CBE re-entry plan includes 'short-term' online learning option, recommends wearing masks 07/31/2020

Parents, what are your thoughts? Are you going to bring the kids back to school?

'Students with symptoms of cold, flu or COVID-19 will be asked to isolate for 10 days.'
Lots of kids get a cold or flu easily in the winter time, so are they going to keep isolating? 🤔🤔🤔

CBE re-entry plan includes 'short-term' online learning option, recommends wearing masks The Calgary Board of Education has released its guidelines for re-entry this fall and says short-term online learning will be offered for Grades 1-12 for families who aren't comfortable with sending their children back to school during the ongoing pandemic.

Good evening parents,

You may already heard the news about school will open normally in September.

I would like to inform that I am still going to stay online classes until further notice, especially kids from different schools come here, it is very easy to have cross contamination.

Hope you all understand!

Thanks

Tiffany
