Red Dress Day | A National Day of Remembrance and Activism
Calgary Roller Derby stands in solidarity with Indigenous communities across Canada in honouring the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+).
Today we pause to remember. We listen. We show up as allies for justice because this crisis is not over, and silence is not an option.
Red Dress Day began with the REDress Project, created by Métis artist Jaime Black in 2010. It remains a powerful reminder that this crisis is ongoing and demands action from all of us.
