Yes, it was a great day! You can tell from the smiles.

Four of us made the journey from Slopes Studio. Our happy faces and the beautiful views come from the Third Pipe Ceremony for the health of the Oldman River.

Thank you to Morris Little Wolf for leading the ceremony; to Bill English for providing access to the beautiful site by the river; to Ken Williams for helping organize this sequence of what will ultimately be four ceremonies; to the young men of Buffalo Runners, who carried water from the clean headwaters all the way to the event; and to Dimples Shining Double for the delicious soup and fry bread.

And that's not nearly enough thanks for everyone who contributed to making the day possible and for the chance to meet up again with others.

The next ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. on June 21 at Fort Whoop-Up in Lethbridge.

Does this mean they will stop undermining the full restoration of the coal mining moratorium on the Eastern Slopes by advancing four coal mining projects in Alberta's headwaters?
