My oldest was complaining about a grinding noise coming from his rear wheel; a broken axle may do that. Cleaned, replaced, regreased and tuned. In general pretty impressed with the two kids bikes we have, they certainly get a lot of use and I don't mind working on that as most the components are good quality, and the frames are good enough to warrant component upgrades. Two more kids need to ride that bike. If the original unit we bought 9 years ago is anything to go by we'll have got our moneys worth.

Slightly delayed post but I finished up the Ludicrous motor and controller upgrade on the rig a few weeks back. Ended up making a new custom luna blackbox profile for the Norman enabling Throttle assist output levels to be controlled with the PAS selector on the handlebars. Those fat tires and 2500watts are a good time on packed snow!

The is back for a 2500watt ludicrous upgrade. But before we unleash that power a PEEK pinion gear upgrade was performed, the chain and rear hub are already HD. The brakes are also receiving an upgrade.

After much deliberation, and not a little trepidation, I've decided to go back to school and get closer to being a fully fledged mechanical engineer. This isn't the end the Roche, but it does mean my break will be a little longer than expected, and any projects will need to be hyper focused.
I am looking forward to the inspiration I always get from being in school so please keep an eye open.
Cheers,
Phil

Perfect for exploring the City.

Saskatoon river path, a great way to see the city.
Riding the Roche with Aileron rims, wearing Cordura jeans (indestructable) and carrying the families supplies in a, also bomb proof, backpack.

Maiden voyage. A few little things to button up but it was ridable, so I rode it; and love it.

And then I discover a paint defect. Back it goes. Still, excited to finally do the 'battleship' grey and orange scheme.
