Teamsters Slam Senate Report Calling for Strike Bans in Rail and Port Sectors | Teamsters Canada Teamsters Canada is slamming a Senate report released today that calls for new government powers to ban strikes and impose binding arbitration in the federally regulated rail and port sectors.

There are two meetings in Fort McMurray tomorrow (June 3rd, 2026). The first meeting is an Oilsands Members Meeting starting at 10:00AM; the second meeting is an Area Meeting starting at 7:30PM. Both meetings will be at the Stonebridge Hotel

Right now, Ottawa is quietly consulting on changes to the Canada Labour Code including new limits to the right to strike. Sacrificing free collective bargaining during a cost-of-living crisis to reassure foreign buyers is a generational mistake.
