Many lessons by Dr. Feldenkrais have components of moving the eyes. Here’s a short video on some properties of eye movements and the brain…

"Feldenkrais is like if exercise and meditation had a love child." 🧘‍♂️✨

Student and professor Evi Wusk shares her "field notes" on the Feldenkrais Method® in our March edition of SenseAbility.

She writes about the transition from a life of "urgency" to the floor, discovering that where we put our attention has a healing quality, like putting salve on a wound. It’s not about pushing; it’s about listening and responding.

Have you ever felt "reorganized" by a lesson?

An amazing visual phenomenon. And then a bit more!
This kind of illusion is a function of the processing in the brain, the so-called visual cortex. There are illusions in the other sensory systems, including the vestibular (balance).

This is such a great offering from Al. Try it out. Let me know!

For more than 25 years I’ve helped people reduce neck and shoulder tension using the Feldenkrais Method.

One thing surprises people again and again:

Relief often comes not from stretching harder…
but from learning to move with less effort and more awareness.

To introduce this idea, I created a free guide that explains the basics and includes a short practice you can try right away.

Small movements can change a lot.

What if the secret to change isn’t trying harder, but sensing more? 🧠✨

In his article for SenseAbility, Thomas Kampe, PhD, dives into the "Somatic (R)evolution" of the Feldenkrais Method®.

He reminds us that Moshe Feldenkrais didn’t ask how to strengthen muscles or fix posture. Instead, he asked how systems learn.

When we stop pushing and start observing, we move from "fixing" ourselves to actually evolving. As Kampe writes, "Learning, not effort, is the engine of change."

Inside the article:

How the Method challenges the idea of the body-as-machine.

The history of movement as a form of cultural refusal.

Why "slowing down" is a vital skill for modern times.

A new way of thinking about health.

The Feldenkrais Method® isn't an exercise routine; it’s an extraordinary learning opportunity. While most fitness programs focus on how much you move, we focus on how you move.

By using gentle movement and directed attention, you refine your internal map of yourself. The goal? To improve your quality of life—whether that means finding relief from pain, improving your balance, or simply moving through the world with more ease and less effort.

If you know what you're doing, you can do what you want.
