A beautiful evening of sisterhood, celebration, and appreciation with the amazing women of ACWGC. 🌸

As many of us were unable to gather on Mother’s Day, we came together to celebrate both Mother’s Day and Eid, sharing joy, laughter, and meaningful connections. We were honored to recognize several outstanding mothers with certificates of appreciation for their dedication, resilience, and the countless contributions they make to their families and communities.

A special thank you to our distinguished guests for joining us and supporting our community. We would also like to sincerely thank Canadian Zalmi Society for their collaboration and support in making this program a success. Your presence made the evening even more memorable.

Moments like these remind us of the strength, kindness, and unity that women bring to our communities every day. ❤️

We were honoured to come together with the Calgary Single Moms Community and several other community organizations to celebrate a beautiful Mother’s Day event in support of mothers in our community. 💐

ACWGC was proud to be part of this meaningful collaboration, with our Executive Director, Rubina Hamdar, representing our organization at the celebration.

The event was filled with joy, connection, appreciation, and unity as communities came together to recognize the strength, love, and resilience of mothers. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this celebration memorable and successful.

From our organization, ACWGC, we’re proud that our board members, Rabia Shekib and Rubin Hamdard , took part in this impactful gathering. It was truly an inspiring program that highlighted the strength of collaboration and community-led advocacy.

Some of our volunteers had the opportunity to attend a volunteer appreciation gathering hosted by the U-Turn Project.

It was inspiring to see so many dedicated individuals being recognized for their hard work and commitment, and receiving certificates in appreciation of their service.

🌍 Voices of Afghan Women on the Global Stage

We are proud to share that our Executive Director, Robina Hamdard , attended the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York this March.

This important global platform created space to highlight the realities, challenges, and resilience of Afghan women. Key discussions focused on advancing the rights, dignity, and opportunities for Afghan women, while ensuring their voices are heard in international decision-making spaces.
Robina articipation reflects our ongoing commitment to advocating for Afghan women, amplifying their stories, and contributing to meaningful global conversations that drive change.

Together, we continue to stand for equality, empowerment, and a stronger future for all women.
