I’m not saying everyone will feel pain/discomfort for lip blush. But let’s be honest, it’s still a tattoo! Lip skin is much more delicate and thin compared to brows and other areas for tattooing. Every client has a different pain tolerance. So i want to be so transparent with the pain scale even when numbing cream is used. IT ALWAYS DEPENDS⬇️
👉 skin type: dry, think, chapped lips
👉 pain tolerance
👉 blood thinners, caffeine, alcohol taken prior to appt
👉 menstrual cycle, anxiety, stress
👉 sunburnt or irritated lips
👉 lack of sleep & hydration
👉 cold sores
👉 ni****ne: smoking/vaping
So many factors that contributes to PAIN. This is always a FAQ when clients choose to book.
But beauty is PAIN & PAIN makes it all worth it in the end. 😘

Things I wish more people knew about lip neutralization:
👉It’s not about “adding pink or color”
👉Your lips might look more uneven before they look better
👉1 session is rarely enough - more likely to fade faster - no visible results
👉Some darkness is vascular, not pigment and that changes what’s possible
POV: my auntie rating the pain level for our lip blush service 😴
While clients are afraid to book due to pain. My auntie encourages you to book that lip blush appointment. Proof that it’s not all painful and some clients DO SNORE during our appointments.

Let’s talk lip neutralizations 🗣️
Lip neutralization isn’t a one-and-done type of session — it’s a process that you have to trust. This is 2 sessions in and look at her healed results! Lips getting lighter every session.
✖️Some people may require more sessions depending on the pigmentation of their lips. Not every client is a candidate for a single session.
✖️ There are multiple tones within the lips (brown, purple, blue, grey, or cooler undertones)
✖️ Do clients get to choose their color at the initial session? No. Us artists will choose a warm tone color to even out the dark/cool tones to an even base before adding the desired color.
✖️ Heal time takes about 6-8 or even 10 weeks, the color will fluctuate from darker to lighter tones.
Remember 💡We are correcting and improving the lip tone, not covering it like lipstick.

✅ANNUAL MAINTENANCE (Depending on how vibrant you want your lips, can keep it as is if you like a softer tint)
✅ MAINTAIN YOUR LIP HEALTH: keeping it moisturized and hydrated
It’s no secret, the aftercare depends on the clients aftercare to maintain the color/shape for a few years.
