U.S. Consulate Calgary

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 26.

There can be tougher days in diplomacy, but thanks to the Albertans who’ve supported keeping American wine and spirits on their shelves, yesterday wasn’t one of them.

CG Fleckner had a wonderful time at a Top Drop tasting in Calgary that showcased some great wines from California, Washington, Oregon, and New York.

Thank you, Alberta, for your continued patronage of American wine producers (many of whom are small, independent, and family-owned); you’ve kept us cheersing and breaking bread together.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Monday, May 18 for Victoria Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 19.

CG Fleckner caught a glimpse of aviation and nursing simulators during an impressive tour of Mount Royal University this morning, and learned how technologies like these allow students some hands-on experience without stepping off campus.

✈️Swing by Edmonton International Airport to visit our Customs and Border Protection officers, who told us about their efforts to keep our countries safe.

We were honored to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Kapyong with a ceremony and presentation by Dr. David Jay Bercuson at The Military Museums last night.

The 2nd Battalion of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry demonstrated extraordinary heroism during this important episode of the Korean War and was later recognized by President Harry Truman with a United States Presidential Unit Citation.

The Battle of Kapyong remains an example of the history, values, and ties our two countries share.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 for Good Friday and Easter Monday. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, April 7.
