Today we celebrate rhinos and raise awareness about protecting them from poaching and habitat loss. Protecting wildlife takes awareness, cooperation and community action.

Every day, members of the Calgary Police Service work alongside community organizations, partner agencies and Calgarians to respond to emerging issues, support those in need and help keep our city safe.

Harmful online actors may intentionally exploit individuals experiencing isolation, emotional distress, or other vulnerabilities through a range of online platforms and communities, including self-harm, eating disorder and self-help groups and forums.

What may start as a harmless message, can turn into a cycle of victimization, abuse and criminality.

Have open conversations with your kids about what they’re doing online and what inappropriate communication looks like.

Help is always available! If someone is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1. For non-urgent assistance, contact your local police.
