Dear Friends and Customers,

It is with gratitude and heavy hearts that we announce that our restaurant, Indonesian Kitchen will officially be closing operations by this month at our location, 3917 17th Ave SE. For over thirteen years, we have truly been blessed to have amazing supporters like you, and so it is with the highest regard that we thank you for allowing us to share our traditional hospitality and the exceptional flavours of Indonesian cuisine. For many years Indonesian Kitchen happened to be the only Indonesian restaurant in all of Alberta, and we’re so honoured to have been a part of the City of Calgary’s cultural fabric and contemporaneous foodscape. In particular, we’d like to give a special thank you to Alison from International Avenue and Ken, Lindsay, Wendy, John, and Calvin from Globalfest. It has been wonderful working with you all, your tireless effort has not gone unnoticed. For everyone, who might be craving our food, we ask that you come visit us on our last day of operational hours on Sunday, November 21 2021. We’d love to thank you for your support and care in-person!

On the bright side, though we will no longer have an active restaurant premises, we will continue to provide catering services. Please expect our website, Facebook and other social media platforms to change and provide new information over the course of December into January 2022. From our humble matriarchs, Kartini Castam and Wanty Rokayah; to our talented daughters, Maryam Gowralli, Asma Gowralli and Aeysha Gowralli—terima kasih banyak, we thank you so much!
