Pacekids is excited to be at this year's Neuromotor Resource Expo, hosted by CP Kids & Families. It's a one-day, family-friendly event connecting families with resources, tools and services across all ages and stages.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

Today our schools and offices are closed to honour residential school Survivors, their families, and communities, and to remember the children who never came home.

This past week, our students created art together, and yesterday staff and students wore orange side by side.

Thank you to Anvy Digital - Display Graphic Solutions for donating a new set of quality core boards to Pacekids schools. Core boards are communication tools that give children access to the words they use most, supporting them as they work toward their communication goals throughout the day.

This gift is one more example of the support Anvy Digital has shown Pacekids over the years. We're grateful to have a local partner who believes in a community where every child with diverse needs can thrive.

On Wednesday, September 30, we honour residential school Survivors, their families, and communities, and remember the children who never came home.

For many families, the hardest part is knowing where to start. So we gathered books, videos, activities, and Calgary events you can explore together, at a pace that works for your child.

Big ideas, one room! 🌟 Pacekids was honoured to host the Council of Champions for Children and Youth this week, a Calgary network working together to be a voice for young people and take action on the issues that matter most to them.

Thank you to United Way of Calgary and Area and to the incredible nonprofit leaders serving children and families across Calgary who brought their ideas and energy to the table.

Children thrive when their whole community works together.

Worried about what a speech assessment might cost? You're not alone, and we want to clear it up!

For most families, the speech assessment costs $0:
✅ If your child doesn't qualify for Program Unit Funding (PUF), there's no charge.
✅ If your child qualifies for PUF and you register with Pacekids, the fee is fully waived.

The only time a fee applies is if your child qualifies to attend and you choose to register elsewhere. In that case, it's a flat fee of $420.*

Speech assessments happen on-site and through play, so it feels like a fun visit for your child. Our therapists compare what they see to the milestones expected for their age.

What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon! 🏡📚

Our team had the chance to visit Kindred Connections Society new Program Centre for their Community Open House yesterday, and we loved exploring spaces designed with Calgary children and families in mind.

When families have strong connections across the community, children thrive. That's why we value partners like Kindred so much. 💛

We had a few special visitors this week 🐾

Our friends at PALS brought therapy dogs to spend some time with our students, and the smiles said it all. Gentle pats, happy tail wags, and a brand-new friend!

Visits like this give children a calm, joyful way to explore new sensory experiences and practice gentle touch.
