Today's Forum Crew feature is Katherine Stewart, Account Director & Principal at Forum.
What's your School/Career history?
I started my career in communications at a financial PR agency in London, England. I was thrown into the deep end when I joined the Oil & Gas team there and felt like I gained 5-years of experience in 2-years. It was hard and awesome.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
These days, my outside of work time is spent walking my dog, doing my Peloton workout, watching Netflix, reading as well as eating and drinking far too much with my family and friends.
Your favourite book?
The Red Tent - Anita Diamant
Favourite place you've ever visited?
Bruges, Belgium - I was there when I was 18 and it still stands out in my mind as being one of most special places I've ever been.

We're very proud to publish a new case study on Exum Instruments!
Our team was tasked with developing a brand that the Exum team could confidently launch to secure their unique position in the biotech space.
Taking inspiration from Exum's product design and purpose, we created a distinctive aesthetic that separated their tools from other scientific instruments.
The largest expression of the brand lives on the website, and incorporates subtle motion animation and illuminated effects.
With the support of a new brand and website, Exum is making a seamless transition into full commercial sales. We're excited to see what they do next!

Now is a time to practice gratitude, and we want to do our part by sharing some of the ways that our clients have made our lives a little brighter.
Energy Safety Canada (ESC) is the national safety organization for the oil and gas industry in our country. We been fortunate to work with this group for the past 5+ years and have launched hundreds of projects together.
The group over at ESC are uber smart, get sh*t done, don’t sweat the small stuff and they make us laugh often—we so appreciate that!
Their all female comms team is always respectful, even when they respectfully disagree with us, and are all ears to new ideas and approaches. ESC is a true part of our Forum family, and we love working with them. Here’s to our Energy Safety Canada ladies!

Now more than ever, being surrounded by people who make your project, your Zoom call, or your lunch time walk around the block a little bit brighter, are the ones we need the most. This is a weird time for us all, so thank you to our clients and colleagues for the extra laughs and compassion these days. We value the 'ones who get it' beyond measure right now!

To stay connected while working from home, we thought we’d take this opportunity to reintroduce ourselves, starting with the lovely Grace Walker, Designer at Forum.
Where were you born?
Calgary! I actually lived in the same house for my entire life until I moved for university.
Where did you go to school?
I graduated from OCADU in Toronto with a Bachelor of Design in graphic design. I REALLY loved school. It was inspiring to be around so many different people doing great work.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
My life orbits around cycling. Getting outside on my bike is the absolute best and it's shaped my life in so many positive ways. In the summer, I ride outside. In the winter, I train. It gives me joy and confidence, as well as a good understanding of discipline.
What inspires you?
Efficiency! I get a thrill from figuring out how to do something better or simpler or faster.
What’s your philosophy in life?
Simplicity. Finding joy and gratitude where I'm at, living a minimal life, and spending time in ways that align with my values.
Favourite place you've visited?
I've travelled quite a bit and have been to some amazing places, but honestly, my favourite place is Medicine Hat. I think I must have lived a past prairie life, because going there feels like home in the best way. My partner and I go a few times every summer and I look forward to it every time. We bring our bikes, explore the paths, get coffee at a small cafe, and it's perfect. The landscape, the heat, the mid-centry brick homes, I love it.
