Kent Imaging
A leading innovator in oxygenation imaging with SnapshotNIR - advancing tissue assessment.
Kent's SnapshotNIR is the latest advancement in tissue oxygenation imaging. The cost effective and easy to use imaging device is completely non-invasive, eliminating the need for patient contact or the injected dyes required by other technologies. Instantly capture diagnostic insight into the availability of oxygenated blood in tissue. Providing improved decision making throughout the dynamic treatment pathway – before, during and after wound or surgical care.

“Having access to point‑of‑care bacterial imaging changes how wounds are assessed and managed, especially in environments without immediate lab support. SnapshotGLO allowed us to target treatment and debridement with confidence, while also providing a powerful educational tool for local clinicians. The ability to see bacterial burden firsthand is transformative.” —Dr. Tyler Sexton

Case Series Highlight: Improving debridement interventions with SnapshotGLO
In these case examples, bacterial autofluorescence imaging, with SnapshotGLO, was used before and after debridement to:
✅ Identify areas of elevated bioburden
✅ Guide targeted tissue removal
✅ Visually confirm bioburden reduction and drive treatment direction
The result: clearer clinical confidence in wound bed preparation, not just assumption.

Avoiding surgery for a necrotic facial wound is not an easy task. When treating non-healing wounds like this, it is critical to ensure your care plan is effective.
In this case study, Dr. Tyler Sexton used SnapshotNIR to help visualize changes in tissue oxygenation over time. Serial imaging supported the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and helped both clinician and patient clearly track progress toward healing.

This research explored near-infrared spectroscopy as an alternative approach to pressure injury prevention across inpatient and outpatient settings.
By using SnapshotNIR, the authors highlighted how non-invasive tissue oxygenation measurement may support earlier identification of perfusion changes - creating opportunities for proactive intervention before tissue breakdown occurs.

Two critical questions in chronic wound management that often go unanswered during a standard clinical exam:
"Is there adequate oxygenation to support healing?"
"Is there bacterial bioburden stalling progress?"
Here's the reality: you cannot see microcirculation on visual inspection. And research shows that 82% of wounds with high bacterial load present with no clinical signs or symptoms of infection. That means the wound that looks clean may be anything but.
