The Government of Canada will reserve 5,000 federal admission spaces for provinces and territories to nominate licensed doctors with job offers. 2025 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Updates Learn about this year’s updates, news and announcements for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Updates are organized by the month they were issued.

Parent and Grandparents 2025 Intake:

Starting on July 28, 2025, and over the course of approximately two weeks, IRCC will send invitations to apply to interested potential sponsors.
Anyone who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020 but has not yet received an invitation to apply is encouraged to check the email account they provided in 2020. They should make sure to check their junk and spam folders.

IRCC no longer give points for job offer:

As of March 25, 2025, IRCC is removing job offer points from the Comprehensive Ranking System for current and future candidates in the Express Entry pool.
It may take a few days for your score to show correctly, no need to contact IRCC unless the problem continue more than a week.
Job offer still needs to be declared in the profile.
Job offer is still considered a part of eligibility criteria a of streams like FST, FAW and some streams under PNP.

PGWP Eligibility Changes:
IRCC has announced an important change to Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility for students completing college degree programs.

- Graduates of college bachelor’s and master’s degree programs are now exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement.

- Students must still meet language proficiency standards of CLB 7 (English) or NCLC 7 (French) in all four skills.

- This policy applies to students who applied for a study permit after November 1, 2024, for eligible programs.

PGP Update for 2025:
Update on 2025 Parents and Grandparents Program IRCC plan to accept up to 10,000 applications under the PGP Program by inviting potential sponsors from the pool of remaining interest to sponsor forms submitted in 2020.
