Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids Family Grocery Card Program is grounded in the belief that families know their own needs best, BB4CK leads with listening.

Families with school-aged children receive monthly grocery cards alongside ongoing connection and community support. In its second year, the program has already impacted 86 families and over 237 kids – not just with food, but with dignity and a stronger sense of belonging!

Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids' care doesn't stop when the school bell rings. 💛

For families experiencing food insecurity, the summer months can bring added pressure. That's why BB4CK runs its Summer Lunch Program, partnering with camps and community programs across Calgary to make sure kids can continue to access food all summer long.

In 2025 alone:
🏕️ 29 summer camps and schools were supported across Calgary
🍎 Over 26,800 nutritious lunches and snacks were shared with kids
💛 76% of kids said lunches helped them play with their friends
Prepared and delivered with care, all for just $4 a lunch!

Because when kids have what they need, they show up. They play. They focus. They thrive.

Your donations do more than you think. Women In Need Society (WINS) is at the CORE June 1 to 5. Stop by to see how your gently used goods and everyday essentials help Calgary women and their families move from surviving to thriving.

Donate an everyday essential or make a monetary contribution via QR code at their on-site collection point. Accepted items include diapers and baby wipes, gently used clothing and shoes, non-perishable food, new hygiene products, and transit tickets. Each donation earns a chance to win a $250 CORE Gift Card!*

WINS representatives will be onsite daily from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Note, donations can only be accepted when WINS representatives are on site. The winner will be selected and contacted on Monday, June 8.
