So.. my friend made this beautiful drawing of Terrence McKenna. I asked him if I could trade for it with this painting I made of Erik ages ago.. maybe 2011. Took a look at it again tonight. God damn, I really crushed it. So painterly. The presence of his back against the light on his lower back and Erik behind him again. The lines of the couch, the light on the chair. Just the lamp.. sometimes I would really prefer to keep my paintings for myself. 🙄😆😝
Anyway, you are going to a better place. And, you’ll be loved, but I’ll miss you.

This is super fun. My client is a very thorough and deliberate craftsman. Runs a team of oil guys in Alberta. So he’s really enjoying learning about the nuts and bolts of constructing a surface for a painting. Thrilled to learn about it actually

Quick trip to the hardware store and voila got my gold frame. My nieces modeled for me as archetypal art tourists. My son modeled for the satyrs. The angel to me was always my wife . This was inspired by my dad who made a painting for my mom of the Star from the Ryder tarot deck. It was the first painting I had ever seen. Now I am 20 years older than him when he painted it. The Hanged Man is in transition. The Tower is the breaking of edifice. St. Sebastian minds neither

Thx to our nieces for modeling this despite various aspect being “chopped” I don’t know how to translate that into Gen X. Maybe lame or gnarly. Grim? Screwed? Anyway, I thought her hair was fine and not so chopped as she insisted
