Our next DOC Alberta member with a film screening at CUFF.Docs we’d like to celebrate is Victoria L McFadyen, producer, co-writer, and director of the film “Ice Cowboy”.

About the Film:
Tommy Cowboy Anderson was an NHL phenomenon from the 1940s, who played for the Brooklyn Americans, an iconic hockey team owned by gangster Bill Dwyer. Cowboy won the Hart trophy before enlisting in WWII, and is the only skater to have won the Hart trophy and not be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

I was filming this famous monument for a Remembrance Day tribute, it wasn’t until I loaded the footage that I noticed the cobweb over the soldiers eye, very heartfelt.
