Had fun just practicing patience near some gopher holes. These little babies kept popping out to take a peak and eventually got comfy enough to grab mouthfuls of food while I sat there and watched. I think they were adorable.

Found a great blue heron out in nature just doing it's thing. To watch it and get to take photos... Was so good for my soul. What a beautiful bird and being in this world. One of my birds off my list to find.

Just got this little one driving back from Lethbridge to Calgary. Was lucky to spot it up on a post and then when I turned around it was in the grass and let me get just two quick photos of it before flying away. Glad I had my camera in the front seat ready to grab!

From the Dominican Republic, a Gray Kingbird. Pretty bird with a unique sound compared to birds here in Canada.

This was my resort little friend that I got to visit everyday. Little one was on a large chunk of old coral right outside our balcony. Everyday I would look for him/her and they just let me take photos. These ones were with my bigger zoom lens, but the one day I got right up with my iphone and took a photo and they weren't bothered. I was a little sad to say goodbye on the last day. I took pictures different days of little one and these are my favorite 4 I think. The last one you can see a mosquito in between the leaves, gives you an idea how little my friend was.

Monkey Monday. Real world less fun, take me back to the monkey's.

This little one was the baby of the group we were visiting. Definitely pocket sized... was very tempted.

I love some of the expressions I caught and how they look. The first one looks almost shocked I was taking a picture haha. One more day of monkeys for now and then my resort little friend makes it's debut.

More monkeys! I just love their eyes and little grabby hands. Couple more days of these guys, so hope you like them :)

For a Sunday post this seems fitting. One of the trips I took was up to the top of Mt. Isabel de Torres near Puerto Plata to see the Christ the Redeemer statue and botanical gardens. The views from up there were so pretty. It is 98 feet tall and was built from 1922-1931.

Torch Ginger flowers in the Dominican Republic. So beautiful and unlike any flower I have seen here in Canada. Love these and the photos. Hope you all do as well.
