Well, I should be packing swag bags for this weekend's Calgary Crochet Retreat with calgaryhandmadecomforts but instead we're taking a break and relaxing outside!

Its such a beautiful day to take it easy, even just for an hour.

Just a week away until our fun filled weekend! We will be kicking off the weekend with our meet and great friday night at Ancient Arts Hand Dyed Yarn and Romero Distilling Co.

Saturday will be our full day retreat and trunk sale! It will be a fun filled day of snacks, friendship and of course crocheting! With a splash of other Fibre Crafts I'm sure. 🥰🥰

I swear 2026 is testing me every level imaginable and I'm over it 🤣

Quick update. Husband just came inside and was not impressed 🤣🤣 and just laughed saying "I can't believe you just did that"

Apparently he knew I did it when he was out of town but thought in the last year of him being in town I changed my ways 🤣🤣 umm no. After like 6 years of doing this, I found its much easier and will not be changing my ways.

Today I had someone come to the door and ask about services in our community and a group discount.... so of course I said "oh sorry my husband deals with all of that, do you have a card?" And of course he didn't but offered to come back later.

I normally handle all of our house stuff. Any renos, services, anything at all, I deal with it all then give my husband cliff notes and how much it will cost and we okay it together. However, anytime I want to get out of a sales person at my door... my answer is my husband deals with it all and normally they don't come back. 🤣

Now my husband is home and unloading stuff into the garage from the alley. I go to ask him something and see him talking to the same guy who stopped by earlier. 🤣🤣 Instantly I walk away and into the backyard where I hear this.

"Yea I'll just talk to my wife about it and get back to you"
Guy "oh you don't handle this stuff?"

They talk for a minute but I couldn't make it out and then my husband's like "I don't think she said that" 🤣🤣🤣 umm if it was that I don't handle these things I sure did. Don't blow my cover lol
