The 50mm Focal Length: Focal February Part Four

The 50mm lens is the focal length I have by far the most experience with. When I still shot film, just about every camera I came across had one snapped on, and so I tested at least a hundred cameras with a 50mm lens. I also owned a Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG HSM for a time, when I shot Canon. It was my favourite 50mm. I did try using the Nikon version when I made the switch but my workflow priorities have changed, but you will see I have used both versions in my choices here....

My cousin Jackie’s husband let me know that even though my radio may stay on when I turn off the car it might time out after a few minutes. So as a backup I went to Canadian Tire and bought a small “boom box” plus the cabin air cleaner that was recommended to me by the French mechanic a few weeks ago at Bumper to Bumper....

Aunt Jody can’t really go downstairs at all, and Uncle Glen can’t bend over much, so there’s some dust bunnies and such and my last load of laundry had some dryer lint....
