Today a decision was published on a file where Brynn acted as counsel for the successful party.

This was an extremely difficult file, and the outcome is one of the hardest in that it means a child no longer has contact with one of the parents. This was an extreme case, and unfortunately an option of last resort. As much as we want to encourage relationships with both parents whenever possible, at the end of the day everything comes down to the best interest of the child, as it should. Our sincere hope is that all parties involved find a way forward towards health and restoration.

Sometimes “winning” in court means a huge loss for a loving parent. In those moments, the best I can do is remember the other party’s humanity, and show them compassion. Because at the end of it, this is people’s real lives.
