Week 5 has come to an end!
✈️ Our campers have packed up and taken their return flights home from Week 5's "Around the World" trip. This week, our campers enjoyed a worldwide festival, where they played various games and made unique crafts originating from different countries, lead by our staff members from around the world!
🌲 Our wilderness fanatics, Apisi, learned all sorts of skills and techniques to use next time they are adventuring through the forest. From bow-drill fires, to natural crafting, to connecting with the natural world, they've deepened their appreciation for the wilderness.
🥾🏳️‍🌈Journey is primed to take root in Week 6, with campers embarking on a week of outtrips! Also joining us - Ekta, our Specialty Camp designed for campers in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and those of all identities, to connect through shared experiences in a peaceful outdoor setting. We're so excited for everyone to join us this week!

Camp Cadicasu Founded in 1930, Camp Cadicasu provides traditional camp experiences and school field trips that focuses on nature connection and environmental stewardship.

👑That's right, it's "Fantasy Week" out here at Camp! Campers have accepted their quests, and are already spreading tales of fame, fortune, and glory!
👸 Campers met Wesley and Buttercup in our "Princess Bride" campfire, as the pair faced tumultuous tasks! Speaking of, campers had a quest of their own, as the Holy Grail was spotted at camp ... and one cabin was even able to claim it as their own! How exciting!
🏕️Our Onawa program, which is our advanced Wilderness Skills Specialty program, has begun for those seeking out the knowledge of unbeatable survival skills! They are learning how to make fires and build shelters using only their environment, cook over a fire, connect deeply with the natural landscape, and much more!
😎 ... And how can we not mention our second group of LIT's, who've arrived for their first week of camp! The LIT (Leader-In-Training) program is a program designed for teens looking to grow their leadership skills and build a strong and supportive community. We'll keep you posted on what these folks are up to!

Week 2 has come to an incredible close! 👏

Last week was Olympics week here at Camp Cadicasu, and our amazing campers showed that they had what it takes to become mighty champions!🏆

During Week 2, our camper’s wits, agility, and skills were put to the test as they faced games and activities all centred around the world’s ultimate stage! There were fierce Clan challenges, a Survivor campfire where one true contestant showed up above the rest, and to top it all off, beautiful sunny weather that delivered an unbelievably memorable week! ☀️

And guess what? It’s just the start of the summer! This week, we have a whole array of surprises for the next round of campers that we can’t wait to show you! Want to know the theme for the upcoming week? We’ll give you a little hint. Let’s just say this week is going to be… “Fantastic”! 👑👀

We're happy to share that Camp Cadicasu is safe, in the midst of Kananaskis area flooding reports. Our campers and staff are doing well! Our property has not been affected by flooding and camp programs continue to operate as scheduled.

Our team is closely monitoring weather forecasts and updates from emergency management and local authorities. Camper and staff safety is always our highest priority, and we have established procedures in place should conditions change.

We will continue to keep families informed if there are any impacts to camp operations or travel.

Thank you for your continued support. We also extend our thoughts to everyone in the region who has been affected by the recent weather.
