Mexican GP watch party at Button is more interested in the tacos and curros, than the race

Saturday was a great day to go watch some local racing! No driving this time, just went to watch the final hours of the 8hour endurance race. Can't miss the vintage weekend in July, I missed out on racing all together last year! Can't wait to be on again.

We made it! Car ran beautifully, co-driver nailed it, but technology was not on our side. The checkpoint app didn't track our first two regularities, so our end result likely won't be very good, but it was super fun, and we have an excuse to do another!

Rally day! Mudlark TSD, first one I've done in almost 5 years.

I registered for an online Dakar rally championship, in Dakar '18, first stage I got MEGA lost in, and fell way back. Hoping tonight's stage goes better. I'll try to stream each stage on YouTube 👍

Well it's the final evening before back to work. I'm feeling a little nostalgic, so let's play some old (OOOOOOOOLLLLDDDD) racing games. Booted up Indycar Racing 2 tonight, for a fun casual race. Man the feelings from this! I remember playing this back in my parents basement when I was too young to really properly get around the track, but it was always my favorite. Remarkable how playable it is today. Incredible simulation for a sim that's now 30 years old.

Merry Christmas everyone! This was a big year, so big that I didn't even get a chance to make it to a race weekend. But sin racing filled that gap, and the things keeping me from making it to the track were worthwhile you could say. More sim racing goodness to come, and some other exciting things here and there as well in 2024!
