Your patients want your website to load fast, even if they don't know it!
Target load times vary by industry, but 2 seconds is the general recommendation. By the time you hit 4 second load times, you've likely lost a lot of people.

In just 8 months, Physio Roots is up to over 1000 organic visitors per month and organic traffic is consistently increasing by 3-5% per month!
Big thanks to everyone who has registered! 2020 is looking very promising, I'm expecting (with good reason) traffic to skyrocket in the new year. I've also been working on some great new features, all to be added in 2020.
If you haven't already, make sure you're registered.

There are a lot of sites out there that could use a tune-up. Here are some things to be concerned about:
1. Site Speed - More than 4s load time and say goodbye to a potential patient. This also impacts your SEO.
2. Mobile Friendly - If it isn't, your site will be a struggle to use and once again, you may find yourself losing a potential patient. You guessed it, this also affects your SEO.
3. Contact information - For the love of.... make it EASY for people to contact you. Have buttons close by and keep your contact info at the header and/or footer of every page. You wouldn't believe how many sites make it hard to find contact information (especially sites showcasing multiple clinics).
4. Simple SEO mistakes - As an example, multiple "H1" heading tags (Google gets confused as to what the page is about).
5. Local SEO - Make sure Google Maps knows who you are. Use a "schema markup" to make sure Google knows what kind of business you are, your business hours, and contact information.
How do you fix this stuff?!?
Good question. If you're totally stuck or just wondering how bad things are--send me a message and I will at no charge shed some light on the situation of your website. Then you can decide where to go from there :)

Very pleased to announce that at least 233 different clinics received at least 1 lead through Physio Roots last month. The true numbers are higher, but require some extra analytics 😉! This has all happened with just 5 months of being up-and-running. As far as search engine marketing goes, this is great news!
Clicks from Google have been increasing each week over the past 1.5 months. It appears that Physio Roots is finally reaching Google's index and is crawling the search rankings. The crazy part is, only 1/4 of the site has been indexed by Google so far! The numbers are only going to go up!
Most clinics still need to be claimed and some need to be added. It doesn't take long and it's FREE!

Reviews, reviews, reviews... you can't escape them! Physio Roots is very excited to offer full integration with Google Reviews. This is an optional (but highly recommended) feature for ALL account types and it is ready to go!
Physio Roots links your existing Google Reviews to your clinic page. Reviews will not be taken via Physio Roots. There are already plenty of review sites out there; Physio Roots is just helping you show them off where it matters!
More details to come...

Ontario... I got you covered! There are still many communities to cover but most of the province is complete. If I missed you, please do me a big favour and add your own clinic!
I'm not exaggerating when I say I've looked at over 1000 websites of Ontario clinics. It is great to see SO many multidisciplinary clinics out there. And when I say multidisciplinary, this is also to say physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and other key rehabilitation professionals are all under one roof.
I'll be taking a break from adding clinics for 1-2 months because there are so many other jobs to attend to. Please know that you can add your own clinic at any time. Sorry if I missed you!

How fast is your website? You can test your site at the link below. I look at A LOT of sites and many could use a tune up. Pagespeed is important factor for ranking well on Google and for user experience. If your site is loading too slow, users will definitely look elsewhere.

Now that is a high density of clinics! 414 clinics with physiotherapists within a 30 km radius of downtown Toronto (and I'm definitely missing a few). Don't worry Ontario, the rest of your clinics are coming soon!

Is your website using HTTPS? This is now considered a standard security feature and Google Chrome, among other browsers, will label your website as "not secure" if you aren't using it. This is not confirmed, but I suspect it will eventually affect your page rankings! Many of the sites that I see don't use HTTPS.
How do you know? If your site address starts with "https" then you have it. If it is just "http" you don't have it.
How do you set-up HTTPS? Setting up https is different depending on your web host and server. Sometimes it is as simple as logging in and pressing a few buttons. You should contact whoever manages your website and see about getting it setup.
You can read more from Google right here:
Why HTTPS Matters | Web Fundamentals | Google Developers You should always protect all of your websites with HTTPS, even if they don’t handle sensitive communications. HTTPS provides critical security and data integrity both for your websites and for the people that entrust your websites with their personal information.
