Not every day you look outside and see half a tree casually flying over your house. After a storm brought this one down onto a client’s home, Arborist Crew Leader John L. and the crew stepped in to make the removal happen safely and smoothly. Definitely one way to keep the neighborhood entertained for the afternoon!

Happy Alberta Forest Week! We had a great time out in the trees with a local homeschool group. Arborist Representative Amy Fehr shared fun facts about forests, tree health, and the important role trees play in our everyday lives. From wildlife habitat to cleaner air and cooler shade, these students learned just how much trees do for us.

Did you notice spots like these on your birch leaves last year? This is most likely caused by birch leafminer, an insect that feeds inside the leaf tissue. While the damage is mostly cosmetic, severe or repeated infestations can reduce overall tree vigor. Activity typically finishes by early summer, and damage cannot be reversed once it appears.

If you are interested in getting your birch treated for leafminer, give us a call now to get on the schedule for spring treatment so you don’t miss the window!
