MOVIE TICKET GIVEAWAY TIME: We’ve got a few pairs of passes to giveaway to the new Masters Of The Universe screening this coming Monday at 7 PM at Chinook. Do you want to see the new version of a true 80s toy classic in full force? Follow our account, tag the friend you’d bring with you, and tell us your favourite Masters Of The Universe character! We will pick the winners tomorrow.

We’ve had the good people from set up outside Dickens tonight helping collect signatures to petition the provincial government to prohibit through legislation all coal exploration and mining activities on the Eastern slopes of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains. Check them out for more info but in short, fresh, clean water is a better bet for our prosperity than yet more environmentally dubious mining exploits especially under our current government. They’ll be here a few times for our bigger events in the coming weeks.

After 4 years, we are proud to welcome back to Dickens for the 35th anniversary tour celebrating the songs of the great Shane MacGowan of The Pogues (and The Popes). This is sure to be a fun and rowdy Friday night!

It’s hard to believe it’s almost time! The Exploited shows are THIS WEEK. We’ve had a few people express that they are unable to attend one or the other of the shows so we will be putting a VERY small number of tickets on sale again for each show tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm. There will literally be less than 10 for each one so don’t expect anything huge. We’re just trying to make sure the most number of people are able to see the show and that tickets don’t go to waste. The last of our Hang The DJ keychains will be on sale for the 16th anniversary party next Saturday, April 11. Tickets are on sale NOW for $10. We’re expecting this one to be huge and we can’t wait to see everybody!
