It's been a while since I have been here. As Christmas and a new year approach, I wanted to thank all of you, whether supporters or team members or alumni, for staying with us throughout the challenges of Covid. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. It's been real easy to get discouraged as Covid controls so much of what we do. I wanted to encourage you by these words from Scripture that remind us that God has not abandoned us to the ravages of Covid: "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" which means "God with us". These words, from Mathew 1:22-23, comfort me when I am tempted to give up. God is still in control and Christmas reminds us that God is ever-present in our lives. As we move forward into 2022, we are encouraged by the opportunity to develop in-person teams again. We are planning toward a Summer team in July to Malawi, Africa. Please pray that recruitment efforts would go well and that covid will have subsided sufficiently to make it work.
