Artist and raconteur. P.F. Ramirez has been kicking around the Calgary art scene for almost 20 years.
After dabbling and experimenting in one artistic medium or another he has found a real penchant for print making, as it is a nearly perfect union of all the aspects of the creative process that he loves: conceptualizing, experimentation, designing, and application --all with a dash of blind luck! As he likes to put it: "Printmaking scratches many of my artistic itches." After a very difficult two years we are all about due for some creativity and beauty in our lives.

Derpy birbs. Inspired by one of my original lino prints.
Heat-setting the ink on these shirts. Not totally necessary but I think it makes a difference. I've washed some of my printed garments several times now and that ink ain't goin' nowhere! Linocut printed garments sold well (to my surprise if I'm being honest) this past year so here are some more. You can find these and others at the .yyc the first week of December at 1111 9ave SW.

This is always a great way to add to your art collection and maybe get something for a loved one (or a hated one, you do you). This year's venue is at 1111 9th Ave SW. Don't let the downtown address scare you away, there'll be plenty of parking.
