Real Deal status defended 🛡️😮‍💨⚔️

Two Kamilov School students competed at the Bellegarde Dragon tournament today 🏆

Both won all of their matches but Sensei Real Deal™ was against them fighting each other in the finals 🤷‍♂️

Both boys worked very hard in the lead up to this tournament, conquered their fears, and made all their close ones proud 🥰

Excellent work. Time to reward by switching training sessions to include more play. Soon after we will start working on deficiencies that showed themselves in todays matches 👊

Also you can see that they have both perfected the Real Deal™ flex pose. The base on which all of their fight skills are built upon.

💪Push-Up Challenge : Do them properly.
👍Pushups are a great exercise for striking, grappling, fitness, and most other sports. They can be used to build strength, endurance, speed, power.

🤼🥊 Both my wrestling and my boxing coach have told me in the past: “There is no such thing as doing too many pushups and pull-ups.” You want to get anywhere you need to be a pro at this exercise, just like abs exercises, pull-ups, jump rope, and other basic exercises.

👹All the biggest combat sports monsters can do a ton of these really fast and with perfect form so get on these. THIS EXERCISE WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER MARTIAL ARTIST. I bet you ancient samurais used to do this.

⭐️FREE CONTENT - a good warmup before your workouts.

👆A proper warmup in my books not only reduces the chance of injuries and gets you ready for your main workout, but also has some skill and movement work involved to make you better coordinated.

💪We start off with skipping. Skipping is a great for getting your blood flow going and at the same time is an excellent tool to improve your cardio, footwork, rhythm and other skills that directly relate to fighting and fitness.

🤸DYNAMIC STRETCHING - increases your range of motion ahead of your workout and works your movement patterns that directly correlate to fighting. It is important to do this only after some light cardio work to avoid injury. In this case we do it after some skipping. And so a list of exercises:

1. HIP CIRCLES - maximally rotate your hips in all directions, left forward, right and straight. Try to not move your head and upper body too much.

2. Upper Body Rotations - now keep your hips still, and rotate your upper body all directions, this is useful for dodging punches and kicks.

3. SIDE BENDS - stand up straight and bend to the side.

4. Rotations - get your body ready and used to the motion of rotating for punches.

5. Up and down with your arms - getting the upper body more warmed up.

6. OPPOSITE TOE TOUCH - more bending of the body similar to fighting.

7. OPPOSITE HEEL TOUCH - very relative to dodging attacks coming at you.

8. SIDE LUNGES - keep your heels on the ground. This stretch is to start opening your hips up.

9. ADDING FRONT LUNGES - make sure you hold the side lunge for 3 seconds, then go right into a front lunge. This helps your hip flexibility in transitioning and faking one style of kick into another.

Closure of our day camp program.
😁RK Fight Lab is happy to have helped the community in a time of need while following all guidelines set by the Alberta government.
👆We are proud to say that during a time of price gouging we did the opposite - we offered discounted prices for families of medical workers to ease the unexpected financial stress of this situation.
📰We are always closely monitoring the developing situation through local news channels. This Friday the province announced that it is set on reopening daycares in order to assist core service providers.
👍Our team has made the decision that although we are still allowed to run this program, the best course of action is to allow the government to take control of this situation.
🚫We have come to the conclusion that it is in the community’s best interest for us to shut down this program as our services are no longer absolutely necessary for these families.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦We are and have always been committed to doing a good job and shaping a better world around us.
