Do you use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery in your home? They are found in common household items such as laptops, cell phones, vacuum cleaners and va**ng products. These batteries can easily overheat, catch fire or explode if they aren’t charged and stored safely:
• Do not exceed the recommended charging time or keep items continuously charging
• Do not charge your device on soft surfaces, such as a couch or bed, and do not charge devices while you sleep
• Use your battery charger in a place you can keep an eye on it in case it overheats
• Only use the charger and batteries that came with your device, or replace them with compatible and certified products
• Use chargers with a recognized Canadian certification marks, such as CSA, cUL or cETL

Bathroom vents: a hidden fire danger in your home In Mesa alone, Smith says there have been 22 confirmed fires linked to bathroom exhaust fans in the past 30 months including five since January. Why now?
Interesting patterns on this bathroom fan fire. The fan had been left on for a couple of days and the occupants had gone on holidays. Neighbours could smell the fire for a couple of days as it was just smouldering in the attic. The fire never vented out the roof and smouldered down the interior walls.
If it had vented out the roof it would have taken down the house in minutes
