This year’s birthday exchange cake was for .

For this cake, I decided it’s finally time to give buttercream wave a try. It was very intimidating as once you start, you have no control over it. It took a couple tries because I kept cutting into the top as I was finishing off. I also added some wafer paper flowers for a nice little pop. To finish off, I added some edible bronze throughout - decided to stray away from gold for change! Finally, to accompany the cake, I crocheted a broccoli plushie.

I finally got to bake for my baby cousin for her baby shower earlier this month. I was quite busy this week so had to scale it down a bit and didn’t go as crazy as I normally do with dessert table spread. It took a bit of time for me to come up with design and inspiration for this spread as I’ve not done baby boy theme before!

I’m absolutely in love with how everything turned out and oddly enough, every mama to be I know of this year is having a baby boy!!!

baby is still baking but ready to pop any day now! Congratulations to you and Richard and can’t wait to meet your little bundle of joy!!

Kawaii Sanrio cookies - my niece traced the images on every cookie!

My niece turned 12 this year and asked for a Sanrio themed birthday party…so of course auntie has to make here they treats, starting with this colourful cake. I I never realized how colorful Sanrio can be as my favourite character is Bad Badtz so I never fully pay attention to all the other characters!
