Got 3/7 rows planted.

Ron is starting zucchini, butternut squash, pumpkin and Chinese melon for me indoors so those will take up lots of space.

Dare I try tomatoes again?? I fail every single year at tomatoes!! 🍅

Happy Mother’s Day!

To celebrate, Ron and I went out after work and picked up chicks! 🐥

Hey You!

As you all know, Ron and I sold our Legacy Tail Blazers location so I could focus on my health, find some balance, and put more energy into our Tail Blazers Copperfield store. It was the right call, even if it wasn't an easy one.

This past year has been about working on both my mental and physical health and somewhere in that stillness I figured something out: I need to create. I always have. And I've missed it more than I expected.

So, BrindleBerry Acres is coming back — gradually, and with intention. The focus will be on three things I care deeply about: body, mind, and bowl. Your dog's physical health, mental wellbeing, and what goes in their dish.

It's the same passion that drove everything I did before, just with a clearer framework and honestly, a clearer version of me behind it.

I'm planning to start blogging again, and I'm hoping to release my first ebook soon (written with Ron's help)! And, down the road, if all goes well, I'm also hoping to offer dog nutrition consults — because sometimes you just need someone to look at your dog's specific situation and help you figure out where to start.

If time permits, The Everything Pup Podcast will be coming back too — but one step at a time. I don't want to get ahead of myself, or put myself back into the state I was in 6 months ago!

I've started up my email list again, so if you're interested in signing up, you can visit the link in the comments - and I'll send you a FREE Kong stuffing recipe guide too.

I've also been tidying up the website if you want to go take a peek (also in the comments). We need to tell Google it exists again as it's all dried up ATM.

That's it for now! Let me know in the comments if there's anything you'd like to see a blog post, podcast, or ebook about!

The Russian Orloff chicks are about ten weeks old now. They’re still too young, and it’s still too cold, for them to stay outside.

Right now they’re in the garage, but we thought they might enjoy a play outside today since it was pretty nice out.

So we caught and carried out each one - one by one (there’s 8 of them) - and then took them all back to bed.

They had fun!

The rooster you hear is Archie. He was not happy about seeing all the new chickens.

We THINK there are 2 roosters here. And the hens should start laying in another 10 weeks or so. Their eggs will probably be pale brown.
