Someone asked me this week what my favorite thing to photograph was.

I think they were expecting me to say weddings or newborns, grads or families. You know, a particular niche of photography.

But I blurted out one word before I even thought about it.

JOY

One three letter word that sums up so much of what matters about what I do.

Because when you share your moments, you share your joy.

Your hope.

Your optimism.

You love.

Your dreams.

Your new beginnings.

Your achievements.

Your belief that good things can and do still happen.

Your belonging, your safe place? Your home.

And I don’t know about you but I feel like the world needs all of that we can get.



Ps. The product used for this mountain gender reveal was parks approved and safe for this beautiful mountain location. Because the mountains bring us joy too.

The joy of having the whole crew together should be celebrated and captured.

We had so much fun playing, snuggling, laughing and playing in the mountains.

They seem to always be calling me and never disappoint as a backdrop for family photos.

What did you do over the weekend?

These love birds celebrated their first anniversary this past weekend.

Their day was perfectly them, surrounded by their people and some of their favorite things in a place they call home and I got to witness it all. What an honor. I hope their anniversary was equally as special.

A moment for the veil and the bouquet is always a good idea.

I adore the antique feel of this beautiful veil. It was intentionally reminiscent of the lace our grandmas wore and had everyone swooning.

It is always such an honor and privilege to celebrate graduation with the community at .ctr

The stories, the love, the community and faith of the students and staff, of the whole community, are on display through the whole afternoon making it such a special celebration.
