Core values...hmmm. Am I living up to mine?

In Emotional Intelligence Training, I encourage participants to do a “values exercise” to winnow down to 3-5 values that they deem their drivers. Values help you set boundaries, make decisions, manage time, AND that helps with EQ competencies such as:
✔️stress tolerance
✔️optimism
✔️reality testing
✔️impulse control

And yet...I am NOT practicing what I teach!

Recently, I began writing a series of Children’s Picture books (more on that soon) AND this project has consumed me. I didn’t realize the extent until my sweet hubby lovingly suggested that I might want to shower and eat once in a while!

GULP, my books are on EQ for kids—and here I am, stressed and stinky.

And one of my core values is “play for wellness”—and I’m holed up in my room like a mole.

Woah. Check yourself girl! So I brushed my hair, went 15km around the reservoir with my friends, and hit the A&W drive through +

Now, better get back to my “Flipping Feelings” books. EMPHASIS on the BETTER

Here’s why...

Our online training courses, now on Udemy.com, have students representing 63 countries and 16 languages. To serve them, I’m transcribing lectures and creating captions (cc). Today, listening to “Project Management Math explained,” Dean sounded “off.” Slurring his words, hesitant, short of breath. Not his usual upbeat, engaging style!

I Immediately “diagnose” all sorts of scary ailments, and formulate my action plan for worst case . Then...I see it.

I had playback set at .75. I was listening in SLOW MO! Hahahaha. OMG, I’m such a weirdo 🤣

Still laughing, stay positive.
