From diagnosis to giving back. 💙

After facing prostate cancer himself, Reb Bishop is one of the wonderful fathers who volunteer with the Prostate Cancer Centre, supporting men through their own journeys with compassion, understanding, and hope.

“Volunteering gives you the opportunity to hold your hand out for someone who may need it.”

More than a decade later, Reb’s message is simple: you are not alone. 🤝

Rick and Nora have officially surpassed their $25,000 fundraising goal on their journey to Santiago and their journey is not over yet!! The support continues to pour in from around the world! 🌍💙

Ricky is one of the amazing Father's who has been affected by prostate cancer. Ricky's children started the first "Ricky Race" to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Centre. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication to saving lives & saving families.

The goal may have been reached, but the impact doesn’t stop here. Let’s keep the momentum going and see just how far we can go together! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️💙

As they walk the Camino, they’re not only taking on incredible trails, mountain climbs, and long days on foot, they’re also meeting people from all walks of life and sharing the mission of supporting prostate cancer care, research, and programs at the Prostate Cancer Centre.

What started as a fundraising journey has become a global conversation about hope, community, and making a difference together. Every donation, message of encouragement, and shared story is helping push this journey even further.

Thank you to everyone cheering them on from near and far, your support is making a real difference for patients and families affected by prostate cancer.

A new chapter in bladder cancer care is beginning in Alberta. 💙

The Prostate Cancer Centre’s new Bladder Cancer Research & Treatment Program is designed to ensure patients feel supported, informed, and connected throughout every stage of their journey. From diagnosis and treatment to recovery and survivorship, this program will help provide more coordinated and compassionate care for individuals and families facing bladder cancer.

Taylor shares:
“Patients will receive personalized support from diagnosis through survivorship, with access to education, treatment guidance, clinical trials, and compassionate care every step of the way.”

By combining patient navigation, clinical research opportunities, mental health support, and multidisciplinary care, this program is helping redefine what the patient experience can look like.

This important work is only possible because of the generosity of our donors and supporters who continue to help us expand access to innovative cancer care in our community.

Consider donating to our new Bladder Cancer Research Program to help fund innovation, advance care, and create hope for Albertans facing bladder cancer by visiting the link in our bio for Research Awareness month!
