Meet Evie Evolve, one of our newest additions to the classroom. This custom-made doll has a limb difference and even comes with a removable prosthetic arm.

She was created with so much love and intention. One of our amazing children was born with a congenital arm amputation, and I wanted her to see herself reflected in our space. I also wanted every child to know that differences are normal, beautiful, and something to be celebrated.

Representation matters. It helps children feel seen, valued, and included. When we reflect the real world in our learning environments, we nurture empathy, confidence, and true belonging.

Evie is just one small way we make sure every child knows they are perfect exactly as they are.

I finally bit the bullet and added two new little friends to our classroom. Meet our guinea pigs, Snuggles and Ginger. 🐹💗

I’ve thought about class pets for a long time and I’m so glad I went for it. These sweet guinea pigs have already brought so much joy, calm, and curiosity into our space.

In Montessori, caring for animals is more than just fun. It is about nurturing empathy, responsibility, and compassion. When children learn to gently feed, clean, and care for another living being, they are developing life skills that stay with them forever.

Watching the children quietly sit with them, speak softly, and show such patience has been a beautiful reminder of how kind and capable they are when given the opportunity.

Here’s to Snuggles, Ginger, and the many lessons they will help us learn. 💕✨
