Tomorrow, as we observe the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Nomodic will take a moment to remember the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. We stand proud in our partnerships with Indigenous communities and are committed to fostering meaningful relationships. Let's all use this day to learn about Indigenous cultures, histories, and the path to reconciliation.

from coast to coast! While members of Nomodic's site team continue to work on craning our project in Ontario, our BC-based crew continues to make great progress at the site of our next supportive housing complex for BC Housing in Chilliwack, BC. This pallet of plywood will form the sheathing for a unique roof truss system—a prefabricated, angular structural component designed to support the roof's weight—that is set to begin assembly next week.

Roof trusses are particularly uncommon on multi-storey modular buildings, and we’re excited to be bringing this innovative and aesthetically pleasing feature to life!

Yesterday was a milestone day in Sudbury, Ontario as craning began on a new 40-suite transitional housing complex: Nomodic’s largest project to date in Eastern Canada. Once complete, the 4-storey modular complex – built with funding from CMHC’s Rapid Housing Initiative – will provide safe housing and a healthier life for residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

A huge thank you to our dedicated site team and partners who are hard at work ensuring all 32 modules are craned safely and efficiently. We are incredibly excited to see the building take shape in the coming days and weeks!

to earlier this year when we completed three 3-bedroom duplexes for Gitwangak First Nation in Kitwanga, BC, built with the support of funding from CMHC's Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI).

Designed to prioritize the long-term needs of the community, the durable new homes feature spacious open concept living & dining areas, modern kitchens with custom millwork, and wood-burning stoves. Following a successful collaboration in 2019, we were thrilled to be invited back to continue supporting this amazing community.

Making fantastic strides! Work continues both inside and outside at the site of our 58-module, 49-suite supportive housing complex (+ 42 shelter spaces) in Chilliwack, BC for BC Housing. Recent milestones include the completion of the building envelope on the East side of the building and water main assembly and installation on the first level.

A huge thank you to our site team and partners, who continue to show amazing dedication and commitment as they push towards completion. We can’t wait for the doors to open to this beautiful new complex!
