Are you a business owner in Rocky View County?

The County wants to hear directly from local businesses as it explores whether a business licensing program may be appropriate.

Businesses are being asked for feedback on:
▪️Benefits of a licensing program
▪️Concerns
▪️Potential fees
▪️Possible exemptions
▪️How to address businesses based outside the County
▪️Approaches to compliance
▪️Renewal timelines

At this point, Council has not made a final decision on whether to implement business licensing.

Businesses and Chambers of Commerce are encouraged to complete the online survey at engage.rockyview.ca/business-licensing by July 31, 2026.

Kochia may be best known as the “tumblew**d,” but once it matures, it can spread seed over long distances and become much harder to control.

Early action matters. Rocky View County is encouraging landowners to watch for kochia and manage it early, especially in disturbed areas like fence lines, driveways, shelterbelts, and road edges.
