If you’re buying or selling right now, look for these 3 “Chinook-Proof” features:
Positive Grading: Does the land slope away from the foundation, or has the soil settled over the last 50 years to create a “bowl” against your basement?
Extensions & Diversions: Are your downspouts discharging at least 6 feet away from the house? And even more so, where does your neighbours drain to?
