Last Friday, our Calgary crew hit the diamond for SECURE’s annual Slo-Pitch Tournament. After some fierce competition (and a few close calls), Team Yellow claimed victory. Congrats to the champs and thanks to everyone who made it a day to remember. ⚾️

From all of us at SECURE, happy August long weekend to our Canadian crew. Wherever you find yourself, whether down the road or to a breathtaking destination like our Kitimat Waste Transfer station (pictured), make sure you get there safely. Safety is always our top priority... it’s how we do the job right.

That starts with our first life-saving rule: drive safely. Buckle up, follow the speed limit and keep your phone hands-free. Enjoy the break so we can all return ready to hit the ground running.

We released our 2025 Q2 results. Here are the highlights:

➡ Recorded Q2 2025 Adjusted EBITDA of $110 million ($0.49/basic share)

➡ Achieved a 12% year-over-year increase in Adjusted EBITDA per share for the six months ended June 30, 2025

➡ Maintaining our full-year 2025 Adjusted EBITDA guidance of $510 - $540 million

➡ Repurchased 7% of total common shares outstanding year to date

SECURE is proud to share our 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting the progress we’ve made in our environment, social and governance (ESG) performance over the past year.

We’ve shared many sustainability highlights, including reduced GHG emission intensity, more waste recovered and returned to the circular economy, less freshwater used and significant reinvestment into our communities. We also launched new partnerships and expanded our waste tracking platform.

Earlier this month, our summer students were boots-on-the-ground, learning how SECURE is Transforming Waste into Value. With guidance from our industry pros, they got first-hand exposure to day-to-day operations and explored different workstreams. We’re proud to be a first stop for the future leaders of our industry.

This year, members of Team SECURE saddled up, proudly partaking in a range of Calgary Stampede events. 

Sara Yuzak, a field sales representative out of Lloydminster, competed in Team Cattle Penning, a high-energy event where riders work together to separate three specific cattle from the herd and pen ’em fast. The team with the most cattle correctly penned the quickest wins.

Jeff Resch, an operations supervisor from Big Valley, participated as a “pick-up” man everyday of the rodeo. He was part of the rescue squad helping cowboys safely transition from their horses to the ground. Once riders were in the clear, he and his team turned their attention to guiding the horses out of the arena safely.

Lastly, something to write home about: our Stampede Charity Party raised a record-breaking $1,024,500, supporting four incredible causes: STARS, Classroom Champions, KidSport Calgary and Providence.
