Things may look a little different now that you’re a big brother, and I may not always be able to give you 100% of me every second… but please always remember this:

You will forever hold a huge piece of my heart that no one can ever replace. You can always have my arm to sleep on, until you no longer need it.

Thank you for growing with me, for loving me, and for being my sweet boy through it all.

We’ll make sure what you want will happen: that Khael will make you his safe place, his go-to, HIS PERSON.

Facts.

Breastfeeding information existing in a doctor’s office is not oppression.
It’s literally healthcare education.

We put posters up about safe sleep. Car seat safety. Vaccines. Prenatal vitamins. Smoking risks. Hydration. Hand washing. But somehow the SECOND breastfeeding is mentioned, people act like mothers are being attacked with medieval torture propaganda.

Nobody is holding women hostage and screaming: ‘THOU SHALT LACTATE.’

Doctors promote breastfeeding because scientifically, biologically, immunologically… human milk is designed for human babies. That is not a moral judgment. That is anatomy.

And honestly? Formula companies have spent DECADES aggressively marketing formula to mothers. Free samples. Hospital bags. Ads convincing women their bodies weren’t enough. Entire generations were taught breastfeeding was embarrassing, inconvenient, or unnecessary.

But a POSTER saying breastmilk has benefits? Suddenly that’s ‘pushy’?

Acknowledging breastfeeding benefits does NOT equal shaming formula feeding mothers. Two things can exist at once: 🤱 Breastfeeding has proven biological benefits. 🤱 Some mothers cannot or choose not to breastfeed.

Both statements are true.

The problem is we’ve reached a point where even SAYING breastfeeding is beneficial gets treated like hate speech against mothers.

No. Educating women about breastfeeding before birth is not cruel. What’s cruel is women giving birth without support, without education, without lactation help, and then wondering why breastfeeding felt impossible.

Supported moms ARE best. But support also includes accurate information.

I’ve never had to pump milk with my firstborn. He latched on to me since day one for three years and it was just me breastfeeding on demand.

This time, it’s different, with babee being in NICU and all. And the lactation consultant told me to pump 8-12 times a day (every 2-3 hours) to fool my body into thinking he is home. And that means I have to wake up late at night (or at dawn) to pump.

So yeah! Good morning!

Ok story time…

I ordered Lansinoh signature pro breast pump on Amazon because of the positive reviews I read, and it didn’t disappoint! The only thing is that I felt I needed an extra set of pump because I need to make sure I produce enough to send to my NICU baby.

After each use I need to wash and dry them so I said I’ll just order an extra set that I can use while one is drying. Turns out they’re not available on Amazon. They have it on their official site, but they don’t ship to Canada.

So I emailed customer service asking where I could get the extra pumping set in Canada. They saw it as an inconvenience to me. The next thing I know they processed a shipment for me as a courtesy.

Just like that - I got a free pumping set from Lansinoh.
Talk about excellent customer service!

Feel like reviving this page. It’s not like I post nothing at all, but I just feel like reliving those small boy moments with Kai now that his little bro is born.

Never expected this to be part of our 2026 - me having to give birth Waaaayyy earlier than expected.

Born May 18th, 7:02pm at only 4.11lbs delivered via NSVD, say hello to our preemie cutie, (33wks5days) Kai version 2.0…

Khael Jasper, derived from names “Kael or Cael,” (Gaelic) which means mighty warrior, and Kale (Hawaiian) meaning “strong man.” Indeed, we have a strong bebeh, with such a strong grip and resistance when you pull his arm. 😅

We love you and we will do everything for you sweetie pie. Can’t wait for you to come home. Kuya Kai is already waiting for you.
