We organize surprise "take overs" of bars/clubs etc. in Calgary, filling them with members of the q***r community and allies, making our own q***r spaces.
This is the public page of our super secret organization. The secret facebook group is where we have discussions and plan events. If you want to join us, send a message saying so. Facebook requires that new members be added by a friend, so the admin (El Sidney Cunningham) will send a friend request, then add you to the group, then remove you as a friend (no offense!).
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the takeover on Friday! Everyone looked fantastic!! I hope to see you all next time. :)
Also... the secret group is getting close to 300 members, and the public page here is only 2 away from 100 likes. It would be great to reach those milestones before the next takeover!!
So, for any of you who are still interested in coming but haven't asked to RSVP yet, here are the details for tonight's takeover:
The theme is the '80s and we are going to Vinyl Retro Lounge! Look for a group with lots of glowsticks and rainbow stickers! The takeover starts at 10, if you arrive there with us then, there is no cover, after that it's $10, but I've been told that it's free for women until 12.
If anyone is interested, feel free to come to the community cafe at the old y before, and we can leave as a group. :)

Guerrilla Gay Bar #5 is going to be on the 9th of November and the theme is '80s/neon!
The event is only visible to people who are a part of the secret group, so if you want to RSVP, please let me know and I'll add you to the group. I will also post the location on this page on the day of the event.
